FAQ

What is the “Secret Stash”?

It’s whatever I happen to have at home. Since moving back to California, I’ve been working with local printers and have special shirts from pop-ups. I also occasionally ship myself a batch of made-to-order shirts to check quality. And sometimes I try new things and put it up for sale (crops, customs, etches, commissions, crash pads). The best part is that I can ship these right away or bring to the gym. Great for impulse purchases!

Do you ship outside of US?

I DO ship made-to-order shirts internationally and offer free shipping for two or more items. Please DM me if your country is not listed at checkout.

Why does it take 4~5 weeks for made-to-order shirts?

I use print on demand because I like to offer a crap-ton of things on whim. Because I offer a ton of changing designs, it would be crazy to keep all the sizes in all the colors for all the things. Instead of keeping an inventory, I place batch orders about once a week, and it takes about 3 weeks to receive before shipping them out.

Why shirts?

I like the idea of shirts as prints. Climbers have the most beautiful shoulder frame - especially when they hit that wide gaston. I LOVE the way oversized shirts move when climbers cut feet on a strong catch. Ideally, it would become one of your favorite send shirts. I have picky children of my own, so I make sure the shirts are soft, breathable, and super comfy - they get pretty sweaty and don’t like the plasticky feel. I scroll IG hoping to catch a glimpse of my art in your climbing photos and videos.

Do the shirts shrink if you use a dryer?

Most color shirts are on Comfort Colors CC-1717 (dryer-friendly pre-shrunk 100% cotton) and stay true to size.  United Athle (UA) and Printstar (PS) shirts will shrink if you use a dryer, so please size up! The CC shirts are already super soft; the UA/PS shirts will soften over time like a regular T. The shirt type is listed along with the size chart at the bottom of each design page.

Why are some plain white T’s more expensive?

Originally I wanted to only offer white T’s cuz I personally think my drawings look truest on white.  Black & white high contrast looks soooooo frikkin crisp. 💯

Do you do prints? commissions? collabs?

I offer HD metal prints (recommended for chalky environments). Please DM or email me to order. As for commissions/collabs... Yeah. Sometimes. Depends. But my favorite has been art swaps - where I trade my sketches for their art (like woodcraft or necklaces)! Super awesome, unique and priceless 🖤

Do you draw digitally?

No, I doodle the old-skool way, on paper (you can see the originals on Instagram @dragmeupthewall). When I decide to make one of the sketches into a shirt, my graphic design team (aka Andrew) will help me work that technical magic. My actual sketches are pretty small (my sketch pad fits in my climbing backpack), so when I blow them up to the entire back of a shirt, it sometimes looks different than I imagined. I just started practicing larger scale drawings and live drawings.

Why the white square?

Update(5/24): Now I mix it up and have white squares, black squares, no squares... hah!

Cuz my art is originally on white paper. There’s also a certain OCD satisfaction to folding along the lines.

Are you really an artist?

It feels weird calling myself an artist. I sketch often and mess up often (see IG). I usually use a plain ballpoint pen. Nothing fancy. For commissions I rip out the page from my sketchbook. It’s all very low key. It probably qualifies me as an art-related content creator. I don’t have enough reach or engagement to be considered an influencer. But I appreciate those who view and react to my art and I 🫶 you.

Are you really a climber?

I mean, I climb so that makes me a climber right? I started during COVID when most things were closed. I absolutely love climbing as a hobby and as a community. Climbing is FUN.

Do you boulder or rope?

In my heart I want to say I rope.. but tbh I am pretty much just on kilterboard or spray. I prefer to climb when nobody’s watching. I did learn how to top-rope and lead belay. I’ve climbed outdoors, like, four times and I was dead from the approach.

What grade do you climb?

Irrelevant. There are plenty of offerings by ridiculously strong famous climbers. I am not any of that. I am here for all the people on the struggle bus, hoping to earn a ticket on the send train. I can say my shirts have appeared across a range of climbing abilities: toddlers, world class competitors, grandmas, crazy awesome setters. My art can send double-digit dynos😆

Are you a dude?

Also irrelevant 😂 the number of times I have been called “dude,” “bro,” and “man” online… I don’t mind at all if it comes from a place of inclusivity or surfer vibe. Everyone is welcome to like or hate my art.

Are you old?

Irrelevant 👵🏻 I’m not as old as the mountains, but I am the mother of four humans. I hope I offer a classy, mildly-sarcastic, occasionally witty, brutally honest sensibility that will age well over time. I run every design past my in-house teenage focus group to make sure they aren’t “cringe.”

Why “dragme”?

Long story. I used to be “drag me across the floor” when I did jiujitsu. My training partner literally dragged me across the floor. When I switched to climbing, I thought “drag me up the wall” was perfect. My favorite grip is open drag, so that’s the logo.
